After 36 years of factory work, I am retiring in November 2009 to devote myself full time to creating more unique woodcrafts than before. Cal's Putterings began in 2006. I started woodworking as something to do in my spare time over the years. As I found more projects to work on for family members and gifts, I decided to do a local craft show. That went pretty well, so I started doing shows around New England and New York. Many of these handcrafted items are available at gift shops and artisan galleries in Vermont.
